Historic Center of Riga
- The historic center of Riga began to be developed only at the end of the 19th century and is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The architecture here is very diverse, but the main treasure of the center is the buildings constructed in the Jugendstil style (modern, art nouveau). Approximately 40% of the buildings in the center of Riga are created in this style, which is significantly more than in other European cities. An example of a restored Jugendstil building is the project on Rainā Boulevard, Valmierās, Lāčplēša, Alises
- The historic center of Riga can also be called a business center, as most banks, offices, commercial establishments, shops, and the railway station are located here.
- Living in the center is convenient in many ways, as everything is within walking distance - restaurants, shops, offices, cultural events.
Quiet Center
- The "Quiet Center" or "Embassy District" refers to the neighborhoods located on Elizabetes Street (beyond Kr. Valdemārs away from the center), Antonijas, Kalpaka Boulevard, Strēlnieku, Rupniecības, Viļandes, Viduus.
- It is called the "Embassy" district because many embassies are located here, and "quiet" because despite being in the center and a favorite spot for tourists, it is quite peaceful and not crowded.
- The neighborhood is beautiful and prestigious. The city's best restaurants are located here. The Quiet Center is adorned with buildings constructed in the Jugendstil style. Many of them were designed by Mikhail Eisenstein - the father of filmmaker Sergei Eisenstein.
In the Embassy district, apartments in fully reconstructed and restored buildings are in high demand, on Antonijas, Viļandes, Rupniecības, the Petit Paris project and others.
