Typically, property tax can be paid in four installments:
By March 31 - 1/4 of the payment; by June 30 - 1/4; by September 30 - 1/4; by December 31 - 1/4.

However, due to the state of emergency this year, the first payment can be made by May 15.
Another option - if your financial situation has deteriorated due to force majeure circumstances caused by the spread of the virus, you can submit a reasoned application to defer the tax payment for one year, or divide the tax payment according to a schedule for 12 months.
The application should be sent to the Riga City Council Department responsible for property tax administration.
