Latvian residence permit - total cost

One of our clients asked an interesting question - what is the cost of an "entry ticket" to obtain a Latvian residence permit based on real estate purchase.

We present our calculations for your consideration.

- Real estate property, 250,000 euros

- Fee for registration of ownership rights, 1.5% of purchase amount, 3,750 euros

- Transaction account for secure payment of purchase amount, 0.4% of purchase amount (minimum), 1,000 euros

- Real estate appraisal (for residence permit processing): 200 euros

- Document review fee for residence permit (30 calendar days, 150 euros per person): 150 euros

- Annual residence permit insurance policy: 35 euros

- Payment to state budget, 5% of purchase amount: 12,500 euros

- Fluorography at clinic: 30 euros per person

- Residence permit card fee: 30 euros per person (within two business days)

- Residence permit processing fee (average market price): 2,000 euros

Total: 269,995 euros

Thus, overhead costs (in addition to real estate value) amount to slightly less than 9% (nine percent).
